A full complement was demanded for this week and a full complement tuned up – well done lads.

Two strong squads battling it out in an epic match, where no quarter was asked nor given.

At 21:00 with the sides deadlocked at 5 – 5 and with FIFA adhering to their strict ‘no water allowed on pitch’ rule, concerns were high that serious injuries could happen – with the administrators checking their insurance policies, common sense prevailed and for the first time ever, the match was settled on a Golden Goal.

With the Germany – Italy semi final fresh in their minds, both sides abandoned caution and went for it. The yellows should have taken the honours when a defence splitting pass found its way to Iain, however, with de-hydration affecting his concentration, the opportunity slipped by and such are the vagaries of football, the blues went straight to the other end and slotted the winner with a tap in from Rob.

1 attempt by Andy – silky as ever – one of these days a goal will be the end product, but still - good to watch.
